Ask one question: can the rule be written down? If you can state "if this, then that" precisely, ordinary programming is cheaper, faster, more accurate, and does not err. AI earns its cost only when the inputs are irregular: free text, varied images, documents in different layouts. Many projects requested under the banner of AI are solved by a simple condition in code at a tenth of the budget.
